Keswick Convention, Halifax, Nova Scotia 2014
It has been one month since my visit to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Keswick Convention. I have reflected on those days with gratitude to God for the privilege which was mine to minister the Word of God in the 2014 Keswick Convention. I found loving, caring, praying brothers and sisters in Christ across denominational lines. I found new friends who love the Lord and His Word and who desire that other Christians would discover the fullness of life in Christ. Here is the Halifax, Metro Keswick Vision Statement: OUR VISION- The Keswick Council of Halifax, Nova Scotia, as a Christian body, and as an expression of the worldwide Keswick Ministries, is committed to the deepening of the spiritual life in individuals and church communities through the exposition and application of Scripture, and through Christian association seeking to encourage the following: THE lORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST Submission to the Lordship of Christ in personal and corporate living. EVANGELISM AND MISSION Commitment to the work of evangelism and mission in the Canadian Maritime and across Canada. DISCIPLESHIP Support for discipling and training of people of all ages in the pursuit of godliness, service and sacrificial living. UNITY Evangelical unity across all Christian denominations. This Vision Statement reflects the heart and concern of each of the Metro-Keswick council members. It is a statement that all Christians can and should embrace. On April 26-29, I had the privilege of opening the Scriptures in Second Timothy chapter two and expounded the six pictures of the Christian as presented to Timothy by Paul. I enjoyed sharing these messages in the Metro-Keswick and I pray that will continue to use His word in the hearts and lives of the people there. Once again I say, I am basking in the joy of the sweet fellowship and genuine love for Christ that I experienced in Halifax, Nova Scotia. When you pray please pray for the Metro-Keswick Convention and the members of the Council.
