Tokyo Keswick 2108

The Tokyo Keswick was hosted by the historic Yodobashi Church, Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Mineno, and his staff and congregation. I am always impressed and blessed by the amount of prayer, planning and preparation that goes into the Japan Keswick Conventions.  All is done to perfection for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ.  The music and singing in Japan Keswick conventions is superb. The order of service is moderated in a very dignified, professional and Christ honoring way.  The people listen to the preachers with a keen sense of anticipation.

I had the privilege of preaching the closing service of the Tokyo Keswick Convention.  I preached from John 21 on the topic, "Compelled by Love."  I was not feeling well.  Seasonal allergies had affected me all day long.  However, the Lord blessed in a remarkable way and when the altar call was given many came to make decisions for Christ.  Some for salvation, some for surrender to Christ, and others saying yes to God's call upon their lives to serve Him in vocational ministry.  To God be the Glory.

A few pictures tell the story.

2018 Japan Keswick Conventions

I have just returned from one month in Japan preaching at a series of Keswick Christian Life Conventions.  This was my ninth trip to Japan since 2008.  Five times I have spoken in the annual Keswick Christian Life Conventions.  The additional four times I have been involved with Dr. Horiuchi and Grace Mission Ministries in Osaka.  This ministry has also taken me to South Korea, Hiroshima, and Sapporo.

In February I preached in Okinawa, Kyushu, Sendai, Osaka, Kobe, Forest Park (near Tokyo) and Tokyo (Yodobashi Church.)  Seven conventions and twenty-five sermons.  My colleague in Osaka and Tokyo was Ian Coffey from Moorsland College in England.  Ian and Ruth were a joy to serve with.

God has given Japan a special place in my heart.  I am honored to have the opportunity to preach the word in the Keswick Christian Life Conventions.
